The Liveable City of the Future

Germany at  World Urban Forum 11 | 26–30 June 2022, Katowice, Poland

The World Urban Forum (WUF) provides a unique opportunity for exchanging views and experiences on sustainable urbanisation internationally. This year’s focus on “Transforming our cities for a better urban future” includes overcoming the multiple crises facing cities today.

The climate emergency, the massive disruption and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cities and communities, the growing inequalities and breakdown of the social contract and ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, Syria, Yemen and across the world have underscored the importance and urgency of securing sustainable urban futures.
